Here is the transcript from the video:
Hey, I’m bloggin brandi and this is RVersity, a university for RVers. You might wonder why am I sitting on this toilet right now? Well, it’s because you’ve been asking me about essentially how I take a shower, how I eat, how I sleep and how I [beep] in my RV. In this video, I’m going to show you how I [beep] in my RV. If you haven’t subscribed, be sure to subscribe because each and every week I’m sharing new videos and you don’t want to miss them. The first thing when it comes to using the bathroom in the RV. So it’s kind of small. But the good thing about this Winnebago, this one 70M Winnebago. this is a class B RV, so it’s a little bit smaller. I actually have a full bathroom. I’ve shown it to you in a video before. if you haven’t seen it, description below. So this is my toilet. It actually have a porcelain toilet which is kind of rare, but just so you can kind of get a good view of what’s in here. I have like this little washy thing, my toilet, this is my bathroom. I have some toilet paper and another thing to keep in mind is that you want to (I actually don’t have the package) but this toilet paper is a special toilet paper made for rvs because it helps dissolves down in the tank. So you have a black tank, fresh water tank. I’ve explained all of this before in another video. Link below in that description if you want to learn about your tanks and your water – all that. Essentially, If I want to go to the bathroom, whenever I get ready to go, I have to have water. So how do I get water? Well, I’m either boondocking or hooked up. If I’m boon-docking that means that I’ve brought water on board with me. I’ve kind of explained this before about the boon docking. But, if I’m at an Rv Park, I have water coming from the Rv Park. Right now I’m plugged up at the Rv Park. If I wasn’t, or if I didn’t have enough water pressure, what I’m would need to do is push this water pump. To get pressure into the toilet, but I have water pressure. So what I’m going to do is you can see normally what you want to do is just have some water in this toilet. So whenever I first get set up I will either use this happy campers. So this is kind of like an organic odor free tank treatment. This is like a powder. So what I’ll do is I’ll put this into my tank. So you’ll mix this with water and put it in your tank. Sometimes I just like pour it in like that though and you’ll do like a cup of that and then you just flush your tank. You know you want to get a couple of gallons of water. But essentially that just helps break up all the stuff that’s in the tank. If you don’t use that then you might also want to use dawn. I use dawn dish soap because you can use it on animals. Obviously there’s duck on there. If you can use it on animals, it’s probably safe for the environment. So the other thing about the happy campers, it’s organic, so I try to use things that won’t really hurt the environment because what comes onto the RV has to go off of the RV. Everything that goes out of the toilet goes into the black tank. Well if all of that stuff is sitting down there and sloshing around like your toilet paper and you know you’re number one and number two, it’s going to have to like break up and you don’t want it to get stuck. There are sensors and things like that. So once I’ve done that, I flush the toilet now my toilet is ready. now anytime I’m getting ready to go, I always like to just make sure that there’s some water my toilet before I go. And then I essentially like just go to the bathroom. whenever I’m done. I get up, I flush the toilet, and then sometimes I’ll use like if I’m plugged up I’ll use this little sprayer and I’ll just spray the toilet down just to make sure that I’ve gotten everything. And then other times if I’m boondocking are trying to save water, what I’ll do is mix just vinegar and water. So, I mix it and then just to keep it kind of fresh smelling back here. I just coat the toilet like that and then you know, sometimes I’ll spray the lid and I just let that go in there. If it starts smelling back here or whatever, I have this fan and I can just [wind blowing] open the fan. and so the fan will help let air out and whatnot. Once I’m done going to the bathroom, I have to let my tanks fill up. But like I said, a couple days goes by and I’ve been like showering and pooping or whatever, which these actually go to two different tanks. This toilet water goes to what’s called my black water tank and stays in water tank until I empty it. You go outside and empty it and if you want I’ll quickly show you that I’ve shown you in a video, but I’ll just show you where it’s at. Come on, let me show you where this is. So my black tank is out here, ( I think people are watching me) but you can see this is where my tank comes to. and then it just goes down over there. So if I want to empty it, you can see this says black tank. So what I’ll do is I’ll just pull this lever down here and let it go. And you can see that’s lovely Poopy water that’s going down right now. All that lovely toilet paper. Great! So we’re probably going to let that drain because it needs to drain. and it’s going to go over there. The other question people ask me is what’s different about going to the bathroom in the RV versus a house? Really it is just whether you’re boondocking or hooking up. Do you have unlimited resources with you or are you sitting in a field trying to survive? Then you’d have to have your water and be a little bit more conservative about that. But other than that, I mean pretty much the same. Um, you do have more water in your tank at the house and in the toilet. If you’re in an rv you are being a more conservative person with your water, your resources and whatnot. that’s essentially how I take a poo in my rv or use the bathroom and where it goes and what happens to it. All of the good stuff. But you asked me, so I’m answering. In this series, I’m sharing about how I eat, sleep, shower, and beep in my rv. If you haven’t caught the rest of this series, make sure to subscribe each and every week. I’m sharing another episode of my rv life because you want to know and you asked me. if you haven’t checked all the good stuff out in the description below, I share all kinds of tips, tricks, tutorials, and my checklist for Newbie Rvers, the people that are just getting started. Plus when I was getting started and all the mistakes that I’ve made along the way. you Don’t want to miss that. I’m Bloggin Brandi. This is RVersity (a university for RVers). Thanks for watching and I’ll see you in the next episode. Be sure to stay tuned until the end of this video because whether your ugh I forgot what I was [beep] saying. and if you haven’t subscribed [door slamming] and if you haven’t subscribed, make sure to subscribe to hit that little button… did I say that already in this one?
