Here is the transcript from the video:

I feel like I look like a hot mess right now, but I have been promising to vlog more with you. And I got a lot of questions about my stationary RV live here at the RV park and I try to not really record a whole lot outside.

Hey Petunia, do you wanna say hey? Oh okay. Thank you. And Petunia is actually one of our rescues. You can find out more about her at birdiesdoghouse.com. I’ll put a link to it below this video so you can check that out via https://birdiesdoghouse.com/petunia/

But I’ve given a tour of my stationary setup here at the RV park when I had my motor home. I gave a tour of the trailer, travel trailer whenever it got here. And so we have a stationary RV setup that we’ve had for four years at the same RV park.

Full Time STATIONARY RV LIVING TOUR! (Of My Motorhome)

But I started out with the motorhome during the pandemic. I settled down from traveling and then we got the trailer because we weren’t using the motor home anymore, it was just sitting there rotting away. So we traded out our $200,000 RV for our, now Less than $50,000 RV but we paid more like $30,000 for our current Puma Palomino Travel Trailer. Probably a little bit more between $30k and $40k — but it just depends on what all you calculate in that. Again, I gave you the tour of those both. You can check those out below.

I’ve got some friends that are coming along. We also have Roland Roland’s gonna be hanging out with us today, but tune you is hanging out with us today. If you don’t know me, I’m blogging Brandi and welcome to RVersity and my RV life. Please, please, please, if you like this video, hit the like button below. So I figured I’d tell you kinda like what I have going on today and then take you along as much as I can.

I’ve gotta go actually back to like “real life” I guess you would call it, or “normal life” I’m not sure. So I wanted to show you kind of what stationary RV life is like and then also before I forget, I’ve made some Van Life vlogs and about the adventure of saving Krypto, which is Petunia’s brother that we saved. And you can find out more about him at birdiesdoghouse.com. But I did some van tours and a van life vlogs that you can follow as well if you don’t know my story. Then you know that I have a stationary set up. I have my boyfriend of nine years back at the condo that we come between here and we have, this is like our lake house and then we have our vans so we can actually travel.

But we used to just have the motor home and then we had other vans and stuff like that. So again, if you haven’t seen my NEW story link below this video

today, I need to clean up here and I’ve gotta do things like dump the sewer tanks and I’ve got to mow the grass, I’ve got to get all the laundry. We actually rescued two dogs recently, Petunia and Krypto that were trying to get adopted out. They did their thing all over this rv and then Birdie got sick. My mom made some food or she ate something, I don’t know. But Birdie got really sick so she was doing everything. So we have Petunia, Krypto, Milo, Birdie, Roland and Johnny the cat <laugh>. So we have five dogs and one cat right now that we are hanging out with. Three of ’em we keep or have or plus the cat.

So three dogs, one cat, and then we have the two rescues that we’re trying to get adopted out. I’m looking at everything I have to do because back here is the bedroom and I’m thinking, okay, I gotta do this laundry. I’ve got to this place looks like a wreck. I told you. So this is also why I love solo female RV living is because I can just kind of chill and do whatever I want. But normally it’s not this bad. Those are actually just the dishes. That’s what’s over there. I’ve got to clean the yard, I’ve gotta make sure that the tent is good. I’m going back to Atlanta. I have to do a dinner with my girlfriend, gotta just prep the RV and get everything ready before I head out. And then NVington’s actually flying on a plane to go on a trip. There’s just a lot going on.

I gave a whole bunch of updates about my review life that you can check out below this video,

but I’ve gotta dump the sewer tanks, I’ve gotta turn off the water before I leave. And those are all things like when I come back, I don’t want the RV to be not good. I just kind of wanted to give you, I guess a day in my stationary RV life. But my stationary RV life might not be like anyone else’s. Let’s get into it. I’ve gotta do a lot of random things, but first I need my coffee <laugh>.

Okay, so now I have my coffee. One thing I will tell you I found when I talk about my RV must haves, I haven’t shared this yet, but these say they’re by Mana, M A n n a, but whether you get Yeti or Mana or whatever brand you get, these are what work for me. But these are cold and hot. I put my coffee in this and it’ll stay hot for like four hours. So I brew my coffee in my regular mug. This is my Joyce Meyer coffee mug that I picked up online. But I kind of like it. It’s as strange as you might be yourself for we or God’s masterpiece. So yeah, I’m looking strange. My hair looks like a hot mess because it’s hot outside. It’s like a hundred degrees and I’ve gotta clean. And so I’m gonna go take a shower at my mom’s house.

I love this coffee mug ’cause I can run around with it.

  • Joyce Myer Coffee Mug
  • INSULATED To Go Cup Mug (Wine Glass) Tumbler

I’ve got to get all the laundry, I’ve gotta take the trash out, do the sewer lines, get all the carpets and everything ready. And so I really just try to make the house look really nice before I come back. I’m also looking at this bug that’s up here. Look at this fly. You see this guy that was driving me crazy, he’s been up there ever since I was started this video. So things are just a hot mess because we rescued the dogs and I’ve gotta go to my mom’s house. My grandma fell broke two ribs, injured her back and her knee gave out and my mom’s taking care of her. But I have to go to this dinner in Atlanta and then my boyfriend’s going outta town and I’ve gotta take care of all the dogs in the cat and then we’re going outta the country soon.

So there’s so much that’s going on. So yeah, I’ve gotta mow the lawn. I gotta make sure that everything’s strapped down outside because there’s storms coming this weekend and we have the cameras and stuff where we can watch the RV when we’re not here. But I don’t wanna put any pressure on anyone since my mom has enough pressure on her right now. That’s kind of like what’s going down, what all I have to do and why. I wanted to just bring you along with all of that fun stuff too. <laugh>.

So I’m sure there’s things I’m forgetting, but I’m literally just gonna run through the house and be like, okay, let me put this So I clean this up, grab these. The first thing I’m gonna do is get everything so I can take it to my mom’s house and drop off all the laundry and then I’m gonna come back and get my clothes.

’cause I literally have to go the wrong way and then come back the other way. So yeah, station RV Life for me is more like lake life right now. I used to live here full-time all the time and I still do enjoy my time here. Not as much as I used to because the RV park isn’t as quiet as it used to be. It’s really loud here. People play their music all hours like 10, 12 hours in length. And I’ve complained about it, they don’t care. <laugh>, they told me deal with it. Everybody can play their music and they say, you know, that’s not too loud. The camper walls are thin, whatever. So been there, done that. Again, there’s a lot of things going on behind the scenes, updates, things I can’t wait to share with you things I have shared with you. I just wanted to kind of vlog with you more about the stuff that I have to do. And I thought that I would show you how dirty the RV is and then how clean it looks before I leave <laugh>. So well welcome to my life behind the scenes of

Another thing that I’ve been thinking about while I was cleaning up is like this towel belongs in the van ’cause we have, you know, towels for the van, towels for the condo, towels for the trailer. And so I keep this bag or I’ll have like a box and I always have the things ’cause when we leave the van we go get, we do the laundry, like the sheets and everything. So I have this bag though. Anything that we think like oh we need to order or we need to get or take back to the van, I put it in this bag that way I always have like a bag of stuff that’s going back and forth, back and forth. Um, but that just kind of helps me keep track of things ’cause I just know that this blue bag goes to the van whenever I’m in it. So just thought I was sharing that.

Let’s go. Who tore this up?

Petya.

Who did that? Hey, who did that? Who did that? Petunia. You do that girl.

I was thinking about what I’ll have gotten done and what I still need to do. It is 1111 but I mowed the grass, I dumped the sewer tanks. I took a dip in the hot tub because it was super hot outside but I couldn’t show you that. Um, <laugh> because I didn’t have anything on when I got in there. See m i I tried to check the strap downs on the tent outside taking the trash out. I’ve changed the laundry in here or the bedsheets. Um, I also will pick up most of the rugs and take those with me. I’ve taken all of ’em except this one that’s in here and I leave those with my mom so she can wash them. Speaking of my mom, I’ve gotta go to my mom’s. My grandma, I think I told you she fell so I’ve gotta go over to her house, say hello <laugh>.

And then she broke a couple of ribs. So she’s been going to the doctor. She can’t really go to many places and this was just last weekend so it was like brand new. They’re at her lake house here ’cause they live on the other side of the lake from me here they have a, a trailer, like a actual mobile home trailer on the other side of the lake. And then we’re on this side of the lake. It takes us probably about 15, 20 minutes to get over there. And then they actually have a house though about 20 minutes from here. So I’ve gotta go to their house first and then I’ve gotta come back here, pack up my things and head out to Atlanta. Normally I might be sitting here hanging out. I might watch tv. Not a lot of it I’ll eat, I’ll hang out with the dogs or I’ll pretty much work on my laptop. I showed you a tour of my office and my laptop and all of that. But I’m getting bombarded by these guys. They want me to come hang out with them. What do you think about Nanny and Mimi? You wanna see Nanny and Mimi?

Nanny and Mimi Marty? Na maybe. Na maybe. Okay, we’re gonna go see you

Haven’t met Nanny or Mimi. Oh my gosh, okay this is gonna Be Petunia’s first time meeting Nanny and Mimi. So this is gonna be interesting. We’ll see what happens. Gotta head on to the A T L. I’ve got dinner tomorrow and my boyfriend is gonna have my car detailed. So a lot going on. A lot of puppies in my life. Okay, I gotta go but keep you updated on what else we do today. I’ve still got a little bit to clean. I’ve gotta pack and go to Nanny and Mimi’s and then come back and then head the other direction. So I gotta go one direction and then go the other direction.

Figured

I would show you our little setup. Uh, birds in the back got Petunia and Roland and me and all of the laundry. Yes, the dogs actually take up the back of the car and I have to put everything else in the scene. <laugh>. So I cater to the dogs in this car, the guard, the dogs love this car but um, they like to ride in the back so they can see out. So that’s where they sit. But that’s all ride if I’m headed to Nanny and Mimi’s and I’m going to say hey I’m gonna take a shower. Probably maybe not, I don’t know. We’ll see how fast this goes. And then I’m gonna um, head to back to the rv, get everything that I need to get and then um, turn everything. I gotta like turn the AC up and turn the water off, stuff like that. And then I gotta um, go. I’m trying not to get pulled over. It’s like 25 miles an hour right here. I haven’t been pulled over before. So <laugh>, I’ve gotta go get everything ready at the RV and then head to a t l. So right now I am in Alabama and then I’ve gotta go to Atlanta. So we’ll see how long this takes me, but I’m trying to hurry and get back shortly. This is how crazy they act whenever we get close. I didn’t even say anything. This is

Rolling. Roll it guys.

Trying

To see if I can prop my phone up here so we can have a chat. Let’s see. Better. I left my mom’s house and Nene and Nene, Nene and Mimi and Nanny. I left my mom’s house. I just dropped the laundry off, took a shower and I’m covered in sweat again. But we came back by the trailer. I didn’t really have that much of cleanup. I just needed to get my clothes and the food and stuff so that I could take that with me and I turned the air up and made sure that the hot water heater was off and that the water itself was turned off. I dumped the trash, I dumped the tanks. There’s a lot that I have to do before I leave. Just like if you were leaving your house on vacation, but stationary RV living is kind of like having a house depending on how you do it.

So you could just do it for a month or two at a time or if you’re like me and you’ve been in the same spot for four years, then stationary RV living might be a little bit different. But I wanted you to see a day in my stationary RV life and what that entails because um, like for instance, I don’t have laundry so I have to actually like go get my laundry done or I would go to a laundry mat. Uh, and technically we can actually put washers and dryers in the rv. We just haven’t <laugh> so it would be more water, more electricity, more space taken up and the ones that go in there, they really don’t do that much. Um, laundry. Another thing I was gonna tell you is I didn’t put my, like my nanny and my mom and my grandma’s house or them on the videos are in this video because I kind of felt like some people I just feel like some people it’s not their place to want to be in a video.

And also I told you my grandma is male and she’s sick and she’s like bruise up. So it would hurt her feelings if she probably ended up in this video. But some other things that I’m not sure if I mentioned but I wanted to make sure that I mentioned was when it comes to stationary RV living at an RV park, normally they cut the grass and do all of that for you. But since we have that fence up for the dogs, we have to actually cut that ourself and then we put weeded killer around the base of the fence. And then also we have that little outdoor garage that not every RV park will let you have that. And we have like storage bins and stuff to keep it nice and clean outside and we keep our boat covered and we have a hot tub out there but it’s not a hot tub anymore.

It’s actually a cold tub and it doesn’t work like it’s supposed to because the power at the RV park fried our hot tub. But long story short, I just wanted you to know that normally stationary RV living you don’t have a whole lot to do. I mean the whole point of getting into an RV is so that you don’t have as much to do. You know, you’re more of a minimalist. But I want you to also think about stationary. RV living can be an alternative to having a house or an apartment or paying rent somewhere you can live in a RV and you can minimize a lot of your bills. Not all the time but there’s you know, some RVs that are better than others for stationary RV living like I RV is a Puma Palomino, I don’t remember the exact name of it but it has residential insulation in it.

So that was really nice that in 2021 they offered that. I don’t know if they offered that other years. But the insulation helps with the heating and cooling. So if we’re in the RV and we’re keeping it cool or hot, we don’t have to work as hard to do that. I’ve made some videos all about heating and cooling the RV that you can check out after this one’s over ’cause I don’t want you to think that stationary or RV living means that you have all this work to do because technically the RV park does all the work for you. It shows in our case we have to do the work because we’ve made the yard like our own little yard. But really it’s just like a rock island with a little bit of grass on the outside anyway, so there’s not that much work to do.

We have about what, 20 feet or so of yard that we need to cut grass. I just was thinking about that. I was like I don’t want you to think that we have all this stuff that we have to do. We do, but technically we wouldn’t have to. I’ve tried to get rid of the garage and all of that but my boyfriend refuses to get rid of that because he wants it there to cover the boat, keep the hot tub covered and like keep it clean. Which it also worked as a shade for my car for a little while. I just thought you should know the RV park does cut the grass but they won’t cut. I don’t wanna say they won’t, they probably would’ve. We told ’em or asked them but since we fenced it in we technically kinda like cut our own grass just to not have any issues.

I just wanna make sure that I mentioned that thought about this as well. I know you might be like, why didn’t you just take a shower at your rv? Why didn’t you, why’d you take a shower at your mom’s house? Well I have to turn the water heater on at the RV or if I’ve like washed the dishes and I’ve used all the hot water up then I don’t have hot water and I had turned the hot water off. But I also wanted you to know that the hot water’s not unlimited. So at mom’s house it’s not necessarily unlimited but she has a really big hot water tank like a house versus in the RV you only have a little hot water tank. So you will run outta hot water and you have to turn the water on and then turn it off. And then if either way, even if you let it continuously run, you have to be careful ’cause you’ll fill up your water tanks and you don’t have to go dump your sewer and you don’t want that to happen while you’re in the shower.

So you have to keep in mind how much water you’re using at the RV and then if it’s hot or not. Sometimes I’ll leave the hot water on all the time. Sometimes I won’t. It just depends on where I’m at in the day or how I’m feeling. And if we have already taken showers, I’ll turn the hot water off cause it just constantly sits there and heats. So I don’t know if it’s supposed to do that, but I was just thinking about that as to why I didn’t take a shower in the RV is because I could have unlimited hot water at Nanny and Mimi’s.

That’s my stationary RV life. We did all of the things that I can think that we needed to do and now I’m off to Atlanta to go do other things that I need to be doing.

But stationary RV life, I did wanna tell you that, that normally I stay there. I’m not always leaving. So um, I just happen to have to leave because I have to go do dinner with my girlfriend and in NVington is going out of town and so I need to be there to watch the dogs and the penthouse. If you haven’t seen the tour of that below, this video just got finished so everything’s like white and gold and just a lot going on. I actually haven’t been to the house in probably a month at least, but I know I didn’t go before the 4th of July and my watch is on the charger, so I don’t know what today is, but we went on a van trip.
