Today, I’m taking you on a road trip in my Winnebago ERA 170M. We left Douglasville, Georgia, stayed at the Forsyth KOA Campground, then stayed at the Golden Isles RV Park in Brunswick Georgia. I’m sharing my Golden Isles RV Park Review or should I say thoughts in this episode and updating you on our travel adventure. This is DAY #1 of Van Life Adventures Camping With Chris

00:00:01 I don’t know if you can see, but we’re in the smart car and there’s three of us. Three people in the smart car. There’s Chris up there and Nvington is driving and I’m back here. In the back. It’s kind of a tight squeeze. [inaudible] So, we parked the RV at dad’s house over here. Dad there. So, We’re headed out today. Um, but we had the RV over here so I figured I’d show you. I don’t know if you can see me because it’s dark back here. I’m going to have to turn that off, but we’re leaving and I can’t show you outside because

00:01:09 it’s dark. It is Douglasville. It’s like 10 o’clock and we’re headed out on our trip. They’re laughing at me because I forgot to do this during the daylight. So I’m sleepy and we’re headed out to stay south of Atlanta in Forsyth and then we’re headed down to Jekyll Island. Chris and me and Naveen. We’re headed on a RV trip. We are at the Golden Isles RV Park in Brunswick, Georgia near Jekyll Island. Not Quite. There actually wasn’t any availability this weekend at Jekyll , but that’s where we would

00:01:46 normally stay. It’s okay here. A little weird with their cable situation. This is what they gave us only checked in at the Golden Isles RV Park near Jekyll Island. This is how we do our cable, it so janky. I don’t even know what this crap is and we had to put a deposit down. Look at how many cords, and this is the crazy part is we actually have to go get one more cord. It doesn’t fit. Not that it doesn’t fit, but I mean look at what we had to rent this to try to make the TV work. This is crazy.

00:02:22 I’ve never seen anything like this. You have to put down a $45 deposit to get this box to make your cable work at this RV Park and we’re only here for like two or three days just to get cable. Look at all that we have to have. I mean this is crazy. Thank God I have like three cable wires myself because then you have to have your own cable wires to go outside and then another cable wire to go in the TV. Golden. What is this? Golden Isles RV Park in Brunswick, Georgia in Brunswick, Georgia. And we normally don’t hook up unless we need something or needed somewhere to park.

00:02:58 So we just kind of wanted to pop out and have space and electricity and not have to worry about like running the generator if we want to get packages out. So yes, we do pay for spot per night. I want to say it’s like $43 it’s like 104 for three days. So far so good. We actually been taking showers in the showers. I’ll try to remember to go get a picture of the showers. But this is my shower. I’ve totally shown it to you before but we’re actually in here and you can see what I do in here. Sometimes we just leave stuff all in here and I’ll just take this caddy with me to the

00:03:41 shower. But we have TV so we’re hooked up to the TV and we watch live PD on Friday and Saturday. That is like what I love to do. So yes I have TV in the RV but this is kind of like the set up when we’re in here. Nothing crazy. This is the RV and the RV life. Today’s Saturday we’ll be here Sunday and then on Monday we’re going to leave and go to Jekyll. We’ll see how things go. Anyways, I’m just rambling on now. I wanted to show you the RV and what’s going on in here, but that’s pretty much the setup

00:04:24 in here. Nothing exciting. That’s what we’re doing and hopefully I’ll be able to give you more footage about what’s going on on our trip. I’m trying to think of anything happened besides the tire. I don’t know if I told you the tire. Oh my gosh. The tire on the way down here Kinda like came off. It’s like the hubcaps came off or something. Look this is exactly what camping world leaves you with. No joke! and I had these tire extenders put on and they thankfully held hubcap on, but I stopped at a truck stop and they were like, oh we can’t help you.

00:04:58 It was a love’s truck stop. Like were like oh We can’t help you. We can only work on tractor trailers. I was like, okay, great, thanks. And then he sent me down the road and thank God it was a Goodyear place. Shout out to Goodyear. They were able to help me, I think it was called Bubba’s tires and it was, they were awesome. Tipped them. We dipped out, you know what they did for me. We just zip tied that thing on. These zip ties, these zip ties that we put on there. But, somebody on the interstate actually hollered at me and was like, Hey, just wanted to let

00:05:32 you know something’s fallen off back there. I was thinking, oh my gosh, not the trailer. He said, your tire. I was like, oh my God, the tire. Worst thing, Ever. We’re just kind of getting settled in. Thankfully we’ll be here for another day and it will be a little bit chill and then we won’t move again til Monday. This is my RV life.
