My RV Bedroom Tour + Essentials To Save Space & Stay Organized!
Hey, I’m Blogging brandi, and this is RVersity, a University for RVers. In the last couple of posts, we talked about my RV kitchen essentials, and then I showed you my RV bathroom essentials, so I figured, why not go ahead and bring you into the bedroom and show you my RV bedroom essentials!
If you haven’t seen the RV tour of my 2018 Thor Outlaw 37RB Class A Motorhome Toy Hauler, you might want to watch it.
I have multiple bedrooms in my RV! I have a bedroom upstairs in the loft area. I have a bed in the master bedroom, plus I have fold-out beds in the back (RV garage), and I have a bed up front! — There are tons of beds in my RV. I think my RV probably sleeps 10 people at least!
I’ve had RV vans and travel trailers too — I’ve had all different types and sizes of RVs, and I’ve started to learn what works for each! Depending on whether your RV is smaller vs bigger, and the layout, all play a role in determining what type of space you have to work with, but either way, there are some basic essentials you will need, no matter what size RV you have!
Some RVs have more cabinets and storage space than others. And some RVs might require some accessories that others might not, or they might not fit in one RV vs another. In my motorhome, I have tons of cabinet space.
Before I forget, I’ve taken all of the essentials from my RV bedroom, kitchen, bathroom etc… and put them in an amazing checklist you can download you can check out. And, I’ve shared links with you to all my bedroom essentials mentioned — so be sure to pick that up (below).
Let’s take a little tour of my RV bedroom! — One thing I like about my RV’s master bedroom itself is that you can close it off and make it more private.
Laundry Hamper
I have this lovely laundry basket that fits in this little nook, but when I had a smaller RV with no extra room, I had a laundry bag to save space. But either way, having a laundry Bag is great because you’re going to have dirty laundry, so that’s something that is a definite must for any RV. You probably won’t drag the BIG laundry hamper with you!
Huggable Hangers
Another thing that I love to keep in my RV bedroom to save space are these huggable hangers. They are super thin, and they will adjust so you can spin them around, plus the lining on them keeps items snug when you’re moving the RV — this is my secret to keeping my clothes on the hangers and not the bottom of the floor or closet in my RV! Also, not every RV has a closet space but thankfully my RV motorhome does, even though I share it with the TV! At least I do have some hanging space in my RV!
TV Entertainment + Closet & Dresser (COMBO)
In the motorhome, my TV entertainment area is combined with the closet and dresser drawers — where I keep my Shoes, Clothes, Underwear, Jackets, Hats, Gloves, Bathing Suit, etc… — So YES, my clothes share the space with NVington’s Nintendo.
Heaters & Fans
I have things like a space heater, which runs on electricity when we’re plugged up at the RV park (for the winter time)
I also keep a fan in my RV Bedroom to help with airflow and cooling the space.
Also, I keep everything plugged up on surge protector bars.
P.S. Here are links to the Oscillating Fan and Space Heater I mentioned as well.
Books
I also keep books and my Bible in the bedroom area. (right now I’m reading The Power of Favor — by Joel Osteen)
I also have some little hooks to hang jackets and things — not sure if Thor the RV manufacturer or the previous owner added these…)
RV Laundry Essentials
Laundry detergent, a garment wash bag, and dryer sheets, etc… And since my RV does not have a washer and dryer (as most RVs don’t — if they do, they’re very small or some type of combo unit), I have to take my laundry to a laundry mat to get it cleaned! Some RV parks do have washers and dryers.
Sometimes I’ll just drop my laundry off and do a wash and fold. It typically cost me $1 per pound if I drop it off. Or I pay way less to sit and do it all myself. I prefer to drop my laundry off so I can save time and work on other task in the mean time.

Blankets, Sheets, & Pillows
In my Must-Have Gift Ideas for RVers (Christmas List), I posted about my Camping Throw Blanket by Camp Casual — OMG, it’s so warm and comfy! Just with they just made it bigger instead of just a throw. I have several of them in different print designs. In addition to my throw blanket, I have a fleece blanket, a heated blanket, pillows, and sheets.

- Pillows
- Comforter Bedding Set
- Throw by Camp Casual
TIP: If you notice, my bed linens, clothes, and any laundry items all have prints or patterns on them… because living the RV lifestyle means you don’t always get to wash things as much or just anytime you want. So if something gets dirty, you can’t always wash it immediately. I’ve learned to buy items with patterns and prints on them, so it’s harder to see stains. Maybe even consider dark colored clothing as well.
Final Thoughts…
Now you know what’s in my RV Bedroom and all the essentials I use, which I’ve also added to my RV Essentials Checklist, you can download, including your RV Bathroom and Kitchen Accessories too! — pretty much everything else that you need when you’re getting set up in your RV! So if you’ve been wondering, “what I’ll do I need to get set up in my RV, don’t worry, I’ve already got you covered!
